Simple Sautéed Sesame Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 (6 ounce) chicken breast halves

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  • 2 teaspoons honey (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Directions

  1. Gather all ingredients.

  2. Cut chicken breasts into 1/4-inch thick slices; cut slices to 1 1/2 inches in length. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Combine flour, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl. Add chicken and toss until well coated. DOTDASH MEREDITH FOOD STUDIOS

  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sauté until golden brown and the juices run clear, 10 to 15 minutes.

Tips You can use toasted sesame oil if desired, and gluten-free flour will work in place of regular flour.
